Belly Pictures

My IRL friend posted pics of her beautiful pregnant belly on her blog to participate in this Belly Hoppin' Baby Shower. My other IRL friend has recently shared pictures of her beautiful henna-covered belly on her blog too. All of these big bellies are so beautiful!

There will be no big bellies in my future (at least until next year) so I decided I'll be brave and share my belly pictures too. If you are squeamish, you may want to turn away NOW....

You have been warned......

This is me a few days before having my 11lb, 1 oz son in June 2004. I wish I had a bare belly picture because this was before my twins tore up my nice, smooth skin.

This is 33 weeks pregnant with twins. And it gets worse...

These were taken the night before I gave birth to my twins at 39 weeks, 1 day. I gained just over 80 lbs and they weighed 7 lbs, 6 oz each. Hopefully this makes some 9 months pregnant mama feel a little better about her belly!

I feel your pain, I really do. I gained 50 lbs with my twins, they were 7 lbs 1 oz and 7 lbs 11 oz. Aren't you glad that it's over? I always think back to that when everyone is going in a different direction, and think that it's still easier now than it was being pregnant.

I don't know if it's because I'm going to start my period, can't have more babies, or because you're just so damn lovely in those pics, but I'm crying.

Thanks for sharing reality! My 4th child was 10 1/2 pounds and that's when my skin just reached the point of now return. I have 6 children and my belly is so stretch-marked up and folded over. They're all worth it!

OMGosh! 7 pounds apiece? Even thought you gained 80 pounds, your body didn't look big, just your belly! I don't even understand how you didn't topple over! LOL. I can't even imagine. You were beautiul though. Really.

Those are amazing photos... I feel bad for whining because of how I measured at 39 weeks. Blush.

Thank you everyone, for saying such sweet things about my torpedo belly.

And I almost did fall over several times. I was very front-heavy!

I can't believe you made it to 39 weeks. Great job! I also can't believe you were brave enough to post a bare belly pic. I thought about it but didn't want to get anyone sick. My 36 weeks with twins belly was not a pretty sight.

Hello! God bless you!!! May He strengthen and encourage you. I came across your blog while looking at images of twin pregnancies. I'm due with #10 in June, and everyone says I look so big, so I've been a little curious since I don't have ultrasounds. I have homebirths, too! :o) Rebecca
