Bottled water, anyone?

I don't know about everyone else, but I just don't the big deal about bottled water. I guess part of it is the environmentalist in me and part of it is my frugal side. But why would you pay for something that is inferior when you can get the better stuff for free? (And for once I'm not talking about breastmilk here!)

Did you know that both Dasani (made by Coke) and Aquafina (made by Pepsi) are both bottled municipal water? Yep, you pay $1 a bottle (or more) for something that comes out of the sink at the bottling plant. And then you have the plastic chemicals leaching into the water and the issue of consumer waste. So why do some many Americans drink this stuff?

I'll admit that I've bought bottled water a few times. Mostly out of convenience and no other option! It's far better to bring a reusable (non-plastic) bottle of your own water though. I've been debating for a few weeks on whether I want to get the Klean Kanteen or the SIGG bottles for me and the kids. Then I will never be tempted to buy bottled water in a pinch (or use plastic sippy cups!) if you use one or the other, let me know which one you prefer and why.

Oh, and on an unrelated note... Still no word on whether I'm "in trouble" or not. No AF and still having some strange phenomenon over here. I started charting again but it's really hard when you've got 2 toddlers waking up at night to nurse. I've been charting (on and off of course) for over 6 years now. By my best guess I believe I did ovulate recently. I need to wait a few more days and see what my temps do though. My body can do strange things when breastfeeding so I'm not making any assumptions until there is more to go on here. Let's just say that at the moment my chart does not look reassuring.
