In our town, Wal-Mart definitely has better prices than Target. And, while I like the atmosphere of Target much better, I can't stand their Return Policy. With all of the shopping that I do for my family, I have to shop at a place that will let me return things if they don't fit. I just cannot take all 13 children shopping with me, and even if I did take them all shopping with me, I certainly couldn't take the time to have them try on everything at the store. So, Targets BAD Return Policy makes me shop down the street at Wal-Mart.

Neither our Wal-Mart or Target are Super Stores, so we do our grocery shopping elsewhere. So, it's just the monthly t-shirts, jeans, socks, underwear, toilet paper, types of things that we buy.

I don't shop at Walmart either. I went WM free about two years ago and haven't looked back. A man was having a heart attack in the parking lot of our local WM and the ever friendly and helpful security officer told the guy to move the car or be towed/ticketed and of course didn't bother to call 911. The man made it despite wal mart...

The few times I have had the misfortune to try to return an item to that place (even with a receipt!!) they have been rude and unhelpful! I just started doing my shopping for household stuff online to avoid both stores! (at alice.com)

Oh Heather, so true-- I'm glad that other people are loving peopleofwalmart.com as much as I do. My hubbs and I are contemplating a peopleofgastonia-- that's our hometown. It's basically a giant walmart.

We are also walmart boycotters. I don't even know how many years it has been now.... maybe 9? Walmart shut down my grandfather's business that had been open over 150 years, handed down through generations. The entire thing is sad.

Good for you! That's not an easy feat and you deserve some applause for sticking to your values! We avoid that place also...but then there is always that thing you need on a Sunday night when no one else is open....usually house or car related...and we end up there to get it done.
