I'm am so sorry that you guys are sick and that Jason has gone away. Its not really fair at all. I hope these comments give you a bit of support and that you look after yourself (the crying is your body and mind healing and working through the grief of Jason going ... so just go with it). I (like all your blog readers) would come over and help out if I could. Sabrina is so right.. do the most important stuff first (like the snow shovel) and food and just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Hugs, love, prayers, and wishes for strength and peace. I am so inspired by all that you do for your family, even when you write about falling apart and feeling like your world is crashing down. I will be joining you in motherhood soon and I would love to help out in any way I can, even though I'm over an hour away. I think we all wish we could just be there for you because you have made an impact in our lives :) I will continue to pray for you all.

Oh Heather, my heart breaks for what you're going through. My eyes teared up when I read this. I know you're a strong woman but I know this must take its toll on you after awhile. I hope there is someone closeby who you can trust enough to stay with the kids for a few hours here and there so you can get away for breaks to rejuvenate and re-energize. I'm sorry I don't live closer or I'd volunteer in a heartbeat...I already have a house full of children, what's 6 more, right?

I am so praying for you and so understanding your feelings. i realized the other day in 12 years my husband has deployed 6 times not including all the schools and field problems. this year all i could think was he is home for Christmas and we will deal with him leaving in march but today i will focus on him. have u been able to find a church? it is so hard to find friends and get support especially when you have more than a couple of kids. but if you are anything like your blog i am sure your personality makes it easy. we move in febuary and he leaves in late march, so do i go, do i stay. who knows.
anyways please know there are people who care.

Oh how I wish I could give you a hug ... change a few diapers for you ... cook you some meals ... send you away for a day, or two, or three.

Even though I live across the country ... I'm here for you. I'd love to move beyond Bloggy Buddies ... to become an email friend and/or a phone friend. If you need a "big sister" to talk to ... you've got me. While I'm not a military wife, I am a military mama and I did have my first 6 kids in 6 years. So, I do have some understanding of what your days are like.

We can't wait until Jason is home and you move out here to WA. I was just telling one of my kids the other day that I want our house to become your "home away from home". I want to be able to BLESS you by taking your kids for days at a time so that you and your sweet hubby can get away. I want our home to be a place that you and the kids know you are always welcome, if/when Jason is gone for a few days of training. I want our home to be a haven for a hard-working mama and her precious family.

Love you MUCH, and will be PRAYING for you in this most difficult time.

Heather, I'll certainly be praying for you. It's hard enough with many little ones, when the husband works a regular schedule; and when illness strikes it really puts a strain on things. When our youngest was born, our oldest daughter was 12, the twins were 4 and the next one down was 2- 4 children under 4 was hard. That time seems like forever ago, believe it or not I miss those days. Just take one day (maybe even an hour)at a time, and don't be so hard on yourself. I think that your gift for your brother was wonderful, very thoughtful, from the heart gift.

I'm sorry that Jason is gone again. When my husband was in the NAVY, it was God awful hard. His 6 month deployment turned into a 12 month one (adding 1 month at a time, it was excruciating). You will get through. I know that it feels like you can't right now, but you will all make it through. Will it be tough? Yes. Of course. The kids miss Daddy, and they outnumber you by a lot. My best advice is to find someone you trust nearby and take at least a few hours every week to yourself. Go somewhere in the car and just sit in the peace and quiet if that's all you want to do. You NEED "ME TIME". All of your readers are here to offer you love and support, and I know that you will get through this! First order of business, find a metal shovel or small snowblower on craigslist. Second order of business, groceries. Also, at our house, my 15 month old climbs everything. I bungee cord the chairs around the table. so far, so good. I also have to put a belt in the kitchen drawers so she doesn't stick her hands in them and pinch them between drawers (they are stacked 3 high). It's been an adventure. Thinking of you and praying for you all and Jason's safe return!

If I could reach across the world and hug you, I would.

You asked, who will take care of you?
You will. And as much as your children can, they will.
My children were the bright spots in those 14 long months that David was deployed. If I didn't have them, I don't know how I would have gotten through it all.
You'll find your own strength, and you will be amazed by it. You will do things you never thought possible. For me, that was changing a tire in the snow or making the 9 hour flight home pregnant and with a toddler for a visit.
Just take it all in moment by moment. Remember to breathe. And know that I'm praying for you and cheering you on.
If I was closer, I'd certainly lend a hand.
