OMG! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Because if I lived by you I swear on my life I'd roll my four man Choo Choo in there and I'd make such a scene they'd wish they worked somewhere else.

Because here's what you do. Go back. WITHOUT YOUR STROLLER. Then let 'em loose. You pay your taxes. F**k 'em. Let them pick up the devastation when your kids are done with the place. Then shrug on your way out and say, "Too bad I couldn't bring my stroller."

Then I'd go BACK EVERY SINGLE WEEK.

I would write a letter to the editor of the local paper, town paper even, or call a local law office(one that helps for free), and ask what your rights are concerning the stroller in the library. You can also check out your towns laws, but i would definitely do something. They have no right to not allow you in. What about a wheelchair, are they not allowed in, they can be just as big as a double stroller.

I agree - get the word out and make that manager eat his words! A library should welcome children of all ages to foster their interest in books and learning - and it shouldn't matter how they get there! You know what should be not allowed if they're not going to allow strollers...those roller shoes! those drive me nuts! (sorry to other moms whose kids have them...I hope they're out of style before my 10 month old twins are old enough to want some...)

I agree that you should write to the town council and CC the library. How DARE they say that your stroller is not welcome. How DARE they be that rude to you. Newsflash: you pay taxes. The library is a town service. You have the right to use it.

Perhaps a letter to your town council, village board, whatever you have. I assume librarians would be considered city employees.
This is totally unacceptable, and I can't believe they are being so narrow minded and rigid.
I would definitely start spreading the word around town about how rude they were and how family UNfriendly they are.
I am angry for you.
